Tower 23 Hotel Wedding
We began Mayra and Ali’s Tower 23 Hotel Wedding with some getting ready photos. They selected one of the hotel’s rooms with a view of the water for the bride prep. It provided a beautiful backdrop and some beautiful light shining into the room for getting ready portraits.
For their first look, I like to pick a location that feels private. With this wedding taking place beachfront in the middle of summer it was a bit challenging, so we did it indoors. We picked a wall on the second story of the hotel to avoid guests. This gave them a moment where they could be together without a lot of distractions.
Right after their first look, we went outside and did some portraits on the side of the building. I like to create some portraits with a very simple background. It allows the focus to be completely on the couple.
Their ceremony venue is right next to a busy walkway but it did not feel like that at all. I think it had something to do with the sound the water feature made. The flowing water created a bit of a sound barrier that kept our focus inside.
After their ceremony, we had an amazing sunset and took full advantage of it. We created some beautiful fun portraits with lots of colors in the sky.
For it being such an intimate ceremony, it had a lot of energy. After dinner, we went through some of the formalities. A couple of toasts and then cake cutting. After they had their first dance, the guests joined them on the dance floor and partied the night away!
