F.A.Q.

Where are you located and will you travel?
I live in San Diego and photograph most weddings in throughout southern California, but I am happy to travel to other locations as well. I do require travel expenses covered but don’t worry, I don’t require luxurious accommodations.

Will you photograph just my engagement session?
I have lots of couples who do not get married in Southern California but want me to photograph their engagement session because they live here or because they are traveling here and want some colorful engagement photos with a California feel. I am happy to provide that for you.

Do you work with a second photographer or assistant?
It depends on the photography coverage needed for your wedding day. Most weddings I work with just an assistant that holds lights manage my gear and is a helping hand where ever needed. Lead second shooters are an add on to wedding day coverage, and when we talk about your wedding, we will determine if one is needed. Depending on the schedule of the wedding day, second shooters are sometimes required to cover multiple events happening at once. My second shooters are always full-time photographers.

Do you edit all the photos?
Yes, all of the photos delivered to you go through a hand selection and editing process. There is no batch editing here. The selections for your wedding collection get individual attention to make it look great, and some images are selected to go through additional editing to make them pop.

Any photograph that goes into your wedding album will go through additional editing to make sure that it’s the perfect family heirloom.

Can you turn my black and white photo to color?
While I like to keep most photos in color, some look better as black and whites. If you do not like black and white, please let me know ahead of time.

How many photos do I get?
The amount of photos varies per wedding but usually around 500. It will be determined by the number of hours covered and the amount of activity on the wedding day.

Can I get all of the unedited (RAW) photos?
I do not provide unedited RAW photos. I take pride in my work and only provide photos that have been carefully selected and color corrected by me.

Can I get the negatives?
Yes and no. There are no negatives since I shoot all digital, but the files that I deliver are high resolution and can be used to print.

What type of albums do you offer?
I provide top of the line leather bound albums that are printed and handcrafted in the USA. There are many custom color options for the leather and linen covers. I am proud to design the albums and tell your wedding story.

Can I provide you with a shot list?
When it comes to a list of important family members or a list of events for the day I welcome it. We will work together to make a game plan for the day so that we can stay on time and keep your wedding coordinator happy.

Do you have business insurance?
Yes absolutely! I’m fully insured and can provide a certificate for your wedding venue if needed. Just make sure to let me know well in advance so that there is time for my insurance company to get it to them.

What type of equipment do you use?
I use top of the line Canon gear, and I do have backups just in case.

My wedding will be in a dark place, do you bring lights?
Yes of course. I use flash lighting gear as needed to capture expressions on faces, but I try to do it in a way that still compliments the feel of your wedding.
