Moniker Warehouse Wedding
I had been looking forward to this wedding for months. The first wedding of the 2015 wedding season! I spent a lot of time in the off-season studying art and finding new inspiration and was determined to start this year creating better work than ever before. Linda and Brandon’s Moniker Warehouse Wedding was the perfect starting point for this year.
When first meeting with Linda I talked to her about why I felt I was the perfect photographer for the job. I knew that the locations could be challenging but that I was confident that I could take the locations and create some awesome photos of them. So on the wedding day, it was time to prove that they had made the right choice for their photographer.
I can honestly say that what made the most impact in the photos is Linda and Brandon’s easy-going attitude on the wedding day. They could not have been easier to work with. Even walking around in 90-degree heat after their Heritage Park Wedding. They were up for whatever I had in mind, they took direction well and relaxed in front of the camera. One of my favorite portraits came from the start of the day, the one of Linda cooling herself off with the fan in hand. She makes eye contact with the camera and has the look of confidence that you see from models. This was a great start to the day because usually bride and grooms have to warm up to the camera, but they were ready to model it up from the start.
There were some pretty awesome moments from their wedding day but I think my favorite was watching them walk back down the aisle as husband and wife. They were glowing with happiness. I think that glow stayed with them the rest of the day. They just seemed to be having the best time all day long.
They had their reception at Moniker Warehouse in downtown San Diego. It’s a cool venue because while it is an indoor venue, it has a completely different feel from a traditional banquet room with its trendy decor and unique layout. It was a great celebration with people on the dance floor all night.
