The Thursday Club Wedding

Mike and June got ready for their Thursday Club Wedding at the Island Palms on Shelter Island. It was just on the other side of the hill and not too far from the venue, so it made for a convenient location. It was also nice that they were on the same side of the hotel so that I could go back and forth between their rooms for getting ready portraits. I love it when couples make my job easier with little things like that.

As they got ready there was a very relaxed feel in each one of their rooms, they were both super mellow. Once we did their first look they beamed with happy energy and it repeated every time they stood near each other. It was cool to see how they bring that out of each other.

This was my first time back at the Thursday Club in over a year and I was very happy to see it was even better than before. They remodeled one of the corners of the property to add an additional photo location. After their ceremony, we took full advantage of the freshly remodeled area for their portraits.

Mike and June and a lot of unique details for their wedding. The first was their wedding rings,  he had a two-tone band with and intertwining pattern in the middle and she had a blue gemstone that I believe might have been a sapphire. Got to love some color in a ring! They also decided to not do traditional flowers and instead they folded paper flowers for the bouquet, boutonniere, and decor on the tables. It was an awesome celebration.
