Breeana and Mike’s Mission Beach engagement session is the perfect example of it never being too late to do a session before the wedding. Because of their busy schedules we had trouble scheduling it and they almost passed on doing one. With just a couple of weeks to go before their wedding we were finally able to schedule it. I think that an engagement session is important because it gives a couple time to get comfortable in front of the camera. When having the chance, always choose doing one.
For their engagement session we started by taking a walk through Little Italy. I like this neighborhood because it’s usually quiet and has lots of interested backgrounds to work with. They warmed up to the camera almost immediately as we began to walk through the neighborhood.
For the second part of their engagement session we headed to Mission Beach. Unfortunately for us it was completely overcast and we only had a little sliver of orange light in the horizon but we made the most of it. With a little pop of flash I can bring out a little color even with gray sky.
We finished their Mission Beach engagement session at Belmont Park. Once it gets dark photos are more interesting with lights in the background so we headed in to the park for some night photos. In the end I was very happy with what we were able to create and excited that in just a couple of weeks I will be working with them again.
