Bali Hai Wedding
It was a big honor to be picked as Jessica and Greg’s photographer for their Bali Hai wedding. Greg told me about how he had seen some of my past work at that wedding venue and wanted me to be there to capture their story. It’s always an honor when a couple views one of my photos and wants me to create something similar for them.
Their wedding day started with some getting ready photos for Jessica and her bridesmaids. I arrived at the getting ready house, and her bridesmaids were all wearing some matching robes. We had to take advantage of that and take some quick group photos.
Jessica looked great in her wedding dress. She also had a ribbon tie headband with starfish in it that was a great accessory for their beach themed wedding at their waterfront wedding venue. Her bridesmaids wore wrap dresses, and each one had a unique wrap design. Greg and his groomsmen kept it casual with their wedding outfits. They went with a Quicksilver short sleeve shirt, some gray slacks and some blue Nikes. I think that they made some great choices for their outfits for a Bali Hai wedding since it’s a pretty casual wedding venue.
Their wedding day was a mixture of emotional moments and bursts of all out fun. Some of the emotional moments can be seen during the ceremony. The look on Jessica’s face as her father walks her down the aisle and then as Greg hugs her. The look on Greg’s face as he puts a ring on Jessica’s finger. My favorite burst of happy was during the first kiss when one of the bridesmaids could not help but raise both arms straight up in the air like an NFL official calling a touchdown.
Their reception was filled with so many fun moments that it was hard to pick photos to share on here. On the sitting chart, it read, “Here are your seats, but your place is on the dance floor.” It was a perfect prediction of the celebrating to come.
I’m happy that Jessica and Greg picked me to be their wedding photographer. It was a great time to be there for their wedding day.
