ZLAC Rowing Club Wedding

This ZLAC Rowing Club Wedding had so many great moments. “Before I met you I did not think that there was more to life than eating pizza and lifting weights”, that’s one of my favorite lines from David’s wedding vows to Areli. I might be paraphrasing it since I’m writing this several months later, but some of the imagery in his writing still stays with me. He went on to paint a great picture of how much he loved her. For me it was surprising because at first glance he seems like a big tough guy, then you realize he is really nice, then he takes it to the next level and you see how awesome of a person he is. Areli is the same way too which makes them such a sweet couple.

It was really cool getting to know them as we got closer to the wedding. Since they were not from San Diego and we were not going to do an engagement session we made sure to stay in touch with Areli by email to stay up to date on their lives and the wedding planning. It was great hearing all about small things in their lives like their competitiveness when it came to costume parties or other cool nerdy activities like their obsession with zombies.

On the day of their ZLAC Rowing Club Wedding, they were all smiles. Well probably more so after the ceremony since they were both a little nervous from the excitement of the emotion of the day. I did catch David a little teary-eyed during the ceremony. Once they walked down the aisle as husband and wife they were ready to celebrate and you can really tell from their wedding photos.

I can go on to talk about their cool cake design or the awesome sunset on their wedding day but to me what I took the most away from this day was just how awesome it was to be around two really nice and genuine people that loved each other and their family.
